Eunice Zone Schools: East Elementary, Eunice Elementary, Glendale Elementary, Central Middle School, Eunice Jr. High, and Eunice High hosted an English Learner (EL) Family Night at East Elementary School. SLPSB EL Coach Mrs. Durapau and SLPSB Title I Director Scott Champagne informed parents about the upcoming English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) state assessment. Mrs. Durapau showed parents how to leverage their phones and Google Translate to assist their students with learning. Parents also received information about their children's progess towards their EL goals, Jcampus, and communicating with school personnel. School principals, EL tutors, SLPSB Family Engagement Coordinator, and parent educator were able to meet with EL families. 💚🤍

This year the 4th grade recorder ensemble from Lawtell Elementary became the first ever elementary recorder honors group in our Parish, as well as in District III at the Annual Honor Band and Choir event this weekend!

CENTRAL MIDDLE SCHOOL: 5th and 6th grade Bobcat Leaders who passed 6 or more iReady math My Path personalized lessons with 80% or better this month earned a pass to attend a nacho party! Thanks to our math teachers and instructional leadership team for making this a success and encouraging our students to reach their math goals! Our students enjoyed their nachos and a movie! Our math teachers are so proud of their progress!
