Art Expo Rehearsals
I am putting together a top band to play three songs for Art Expo Saturday March 23, 2023 (time TBA). I was wondering what days and times would be convenient for both parents and students to participate in after school rehearsals. We will meet one day a week to practice. All students in the 6th grade will be able to participate and a select few of advanced 5th grade students will have the opportunity to audition for a place on the stage. 5th grade students who are allowed to audition have already received a red folder with the concert music inside to practice. I would like to start rehearsals right after We get back from the the Marti Gras Break. Students who have made the top band team will be notified Feb 9. 2023 and will be sent home with a rehearsal permission slip and schedule. A call home or a remind to parents could also be arranged for clarity on participation qualification and rehearsal date reminders. No busses will be provided so transportation to and from rehearsals need to be provided by a parent or guardian. We will have a morning rehearsal the day of the concert (time TBA) and travel to the Art via bus to perform. Please complete the following link:

Creswell Middle School will be celebrating National Sweatpants Day! CMS Students are allowed to wear their "Sweatpants"
(warm-ups or jogging suits) on Friday, January 19, 2024 for a cost of $2.00.
*If a Hoodie, is attached to the jacket or is apart of the student’s attire, it MUS NOT Be Worn on a student’s head in any school building at any time during the school day.

Due to possible unsafe weather conditions from the forecasted arctic blast, all St. Landry Parish School District schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, and Wednesday, January 17, 2024.

Creswell Middle School Parents and Guardians: We will have an Open House on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 3:30pm - 5:00pm. Come by and meet your child's teachers and pick up your child's *2nd 9 Weeks Report Cards, *JCampus Parent Portal Letters and *Mid Term Failure Letters - (These letters are for only those students failing a course with Less Than 67% or students who have missed 10 or more days of school.) Hope to see you there!
If you suspect your child has talented music, theater, and/or visual art characteristics, contact your school for a referral to the School Building Level Committee. Talented referrals and evaluations are only conducted once a year in the Spring.
CMS Learning Beyond the Bell Parents: LBTB after school program will start back on today, Tuesday, January 9, 2024. If your child rides Ms. Crystal's bus, she will not be running her bus route. 🚌 If you want your child to stay, they will have to be a car rider.🚗
