Good Morning CMS Parents and Guardians: This will be the first full week of school for our students. Please remember: Morning drop off starts at 7:20am for car and bus riders; Students are not allowed on campus prior to this time; Students are marked tardy after the bell rings at 7:50 am; There are no check-outs after 2:30pm; Car riders are dismissed at 3:03pm on the Creswell Lane (Wendy's) side school; and Bus students are dismissed upon the arrival of their bus on the Leo Street (MACA) side.

Creswell Middle School will have a staggered entry on Thursday and Friday to begin the 2022-2023 school year. All students that have an even home address (addresses that end in 0, 2, 4, 6 & 8) will attend on Thursday, August 11th, and stay home on Friday, August 12th. All students that have an odd home address (addresses that end in 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9) will attend on Friday, August 12th, and stay home on Thursday, August 11th. ALL CMS students will attend on Monday, August 15th.

The start of school is right around the corner! Students in Cohort A will begin August 11th, students in Cohort B will report on August 12th, and all students will return on August 15th. Schools will inform you of your child's cohort. We are anxiously awaiting your return!

For the 2nd year in a row, basic school supplies will be provided for our students in grades K-12 by St. Landry Parish School Board. Please note: Any additional supplies needed can be found on school websites and/or will be communicated by your child's school.

Creswell Middle School Faculty, Staff and Parents/Guardians: As we look forward to a new school year, the SLP School District in conjunction with Orion Laboratories will again be offering free weekly COVID testing to all students, their and school employees. Testing is scheduled to take place at Creswell Middle on Mondays around 8:45a.m in the library. Orion Labs is changing over to a new reporting system, therefore, all individuals wishing to participate in weekly testing MUST register under the new system utilizing the link below - even if you/your child was registered last year you MUST complete the NEW Registration Process. EACH PERSON wishing to participate in weekly testing MUST have the registration process completed for them. If you have children that attend more than one school, you will need to register them for their school site - ex. one at PVE one at Creswell Middle one at OJHS or OHS. Monetary incentives will again be offered - NEW - payments are currently scheduled to come twice in the school year instead of monthly - 1st payment arrives in December 2022 for testing that occurred from Aug. - Dec., and a 2nd payment arrives in May 2023 for testing that occurred from Jan . - May.
