Once again, St. Landry Parish students will be eligible for the P-EBT program. Please read below for program details.
- NO APPLICATION IS NEEDED!
- Schools will provide lists of eligible students to DCFS, and
- DCFS will issue each eligible student a P-EBT card based on the information the schools provide.
- QUESTIONS about Eligibility Status should be directed to the SLPSB Central Office.
- One card will be issued per child in the student’s name
- These will be NEW cards, not last year’s P-EBT cards (and not on SNAP recipients’ SNAP cards).
- Parents will need their child’s Student ID number to activate the child’s card, rather than a Social Security Number. If they don’t have that information, they’ll need to reach out to their child’s school.
- Benefits will be issued in installments, starting this Summer
- The first installment will cover the months of August 2020 – October 2020 (Benefits will be retroactive, meaning they will be issued for a date in the past)
- Please be patient as it will take a while to issue all the cards.
- Timing is not the same for everyone.
- Families with more than one child may receive their children’s cards at different times.
Benefit Amounts depend on the student's learning schedule. Amounts are as follows:
- $48.23 per month for hybrid
- $120.71 per month for fully virtual
- Schools will provide the student information to DCFS
