Virtual Learning Academy- Late Registration

Late Registration for Virtual Learning Academy: Deadline September 1, 2021

Students enrolling in the St. Landry Parish Virtual Learning Academy will be required to remain enrolled in the program for the entire school year.  Students must have reliable internet access at home, attend orientation with a parent or guardian, and complete assignments using Edgenuity/Edmentum platforms daily (Monday - Friday) to fulfill attendance requirements.

Late registrants must have the following qualifications:

  • passed 6 of 7 courses in 2020-2021, or was promoted to the next grade level prior to attending CAMP ACCELERATE and/or High Summer School for Removal of Deficiency Credit

  • 10 or less unexcused absences in 2020 - 2021

  • approval from school administrator

OR

  • official medical recommendation (original letterhead of doctor and original signature of doctor).  The letter must state the medical condition and the need for online learning because of the medical condition.  Medical documentation must contain the student’s full name and school.  Medical documentation must be submitted to the base school principal by September 1, 2021 and a copy forwarded to SLATS, attention:  Charles Vidrine

Late registration approval must be granted by the base school administrator and forwarded to Mr. Charles Vidrine for enrollment into VLA.  Parents will be notified by your child’s base school of your student's acceptance and/or denial into VLA.
