On Friday, first graders celebrated their 100th Day of School with a variety of reading and math activities to show that they are 100 Days smarter!
4th grade students are celebrating increasing their I-Ready scores with a 50% or higher increase or scoring a basic or above in math with popcorn and a movie.
Students in kindergarten are enjoying working on their iReady challenge for the month of February. Students who pass a lesson with 80% or higher get to color in a square. Who says learning canât be fun!
Students in Mrs. Furtchâs 5th grade Science class designed a Freshwater Collection System to grasp the idea of evaporation and condensation as they separate freshwater from salt water.

St. Landry Parish will showcase our best Jr. High basketball talent at our All-Star game on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Opelousas Jr. High.
Event Times:
5:00 PM: 3-point contest
6:00 PM: Girls All-Star Game
7:00 PM: Boys All-Star Game
Admission: $5 for all ages.

Due to possible unsafe weather conditions from the forecasted arctic blast, all St. Landry Parish School District schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, and Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
With icy roads and freezing temperatures expected throughout the days ahead, we have made the decision to cancel classes, sporting activities, and practices to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff.
