A MESSAGE FROM SLPSB: Due to possible unsafe weather conditions from the forecasted arctic blast, all St. Landry Parish School District schools and offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, and Wednesday, January 17, 2024. With icy roads and freezing temperatures expected throughout the days ahead, we have made the decision to cancel classes, sporting activities, and practices to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff. A MESSAGE FROM SLPSB: Meeting Notice: Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) Meeting ~Date: Thursday, January 11, 2024 ~Time: 4:14 P.M. ~Location: St. Landry Parish Pupil Appraisal Center We cordially invite all community members to attend the upcoming SEAC Meeting. This meeting aims to provide a platform for valuable discussions and ensure the enhancement of special education services within our district. If you suspect your child has talented music, theater, and/or visual art characteristics, contact your school for a referral to the School Building Level Committee. Talented referrals and evaluations are only conducted once a year in the Spring.

The Post-Secondary Carousel is happening today, Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Opelousas Civic Center. This event is for 11th and 12th-grade students and parents to learn about the numerous post-secondary institutions available to students after high school graduation.

All St. Landry Parish Public schools will have an early dismissal on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, to facilitate professional learning opportunities. Please be attentive to communication from your child's school, as they will provide you with the precise dismissal times. These times may vary slightly from school to school. If your child typically rides the bus, please ensure someone is available at home to receive them upon their early return.
