Autism Awareness Month is observed in April. During this month, we reflect on the challenges faced by individuals with autism and their families. This month serves as a reminder of the need for increased understanding, acceptance, and support for individuals with autism and their families.
Attention TIGER FAMILY!! Due to a change in the parish Track meet, we have decided to reschedule our TIGER NIGHT. Once a new date is solidified, we will ensure to get the word out. 2. Shorts have to be finger tip length.
3. Shirts must cover natural waist.
4. Shoes- no Crocs or slippers.

2023 Black History Month Contest!
OHS students will be honored at a ceremony on Thursday, April 6th at 5pm at SLP School Board for winning the Black History Month contest sponsored by the Retired Educators Association of St. Landry Parish. In the High School Category, Markiesha Lagrange placed 2nd, Mykelti Thurman placed 3rd, and Myke Francis earned Honorable Mention.

JUMPSTART SUMMERS PROGRAM APPLICATIONS
~Open to all current students enrolled in St. Landry Parish public schools in 9th through 12th grade (MEDIA ARTS is open to students in grades 7-12)
~ Courses are designed to prepare students for careers involving specialized skill sets.
~Students can earn up to $2,000.00 depending on the program.
~Program begins May 30th and ends August 1st.
~Program contingent on the number of applicants.
~The application will close on May 5th.

Bus 580 is not running this morning according to the Transportation Department. Students will need to find transport to school, but if they cannot find a ride their absence will be excused with a parental note.

Report cards were issued in the 7th hour classes today, 3/24. If a student did not receive their report card today, they can pick it up Monday 3/27 from their 7th hour teacher.
