Important St. Landry Parish School District Announcement:
After consulting with the Office of Emergency Preparedness, all schools and administrative offices will be open tomorrow, Thursday, September 12, 2024. However, please be aware that there may be transportation delays due to the aftermath of Hurricane Francine. Given the extensive geography of our parish, we understand that some areas may face challenges. If your family is experiencing storm-related difficulties that prevent your child from attending school, please reach out to the school to inform them.

The Opelousas Senior High School football game will take place tonight, September 6, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. The location of the game has been moved to Teurlings Catholic High School due to the conditions of the field. Teurlings Catholic High School is located at 139 Teurlings Drive in Lafayette, La. Please come out and support our tigers.

A quick reminder before all students return to school, tomorrow Monday 8/12, students are not allowed to wear hoodies or jackets with hoods. Outerwear should not have any writing and it should be solid black, white, navy, or heather gray. Backpacks must be mesh or clear. Purses must be clear. Students are going to be issued lockers at homeroom and are to leave their cell phones, smart watches, head phones or ear pods in their book bag in their lockers until the end of the school day. We are pleased to inform you that the St. Landry Parish School Board is participating in a meal service option called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). All enrolled students in the District are eligible to receive a breakfast and lunch meal at NO CHARGE to your household throughout the school year. We will be following a staggered entry schedule for the first two days students return to school. The schedule is as follows: August 8th - Last names beginning with A-I; August 9th - Last names beginning with J-Z; August 12th - All students report. We are looking forward to our students returning to school for a successful school year!
