Good afternoon Washington Family. It is our goal that all students of Washington Elementary be educated in a safe conducive learning environment. To ensure your child has the best educational experience possible we are asking that you direct ALL academic concerns DIRECTLY with your childâs teacher and ANY other concerns on campus DIRECTLY with the administration of the school (Brenda Lavergne, Principal 337-628-1654; Kyle Sylvester, Administrative Assistant 337-628-1517). Our Learning Beyond the Bell and REAL tutoring programs will resume next week starting Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.. Yet, we have made a couple of changes to our program. Kindergarten and 1st grade students will no longer be a part of our tutoring program. This is due in part to staffing shortages as well as our decision to shift our attention to students who are in testing grades. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we hope that you understand our decision. So, beginning next week, if you have a child or children that are in kindergarten or 1st grade, please ensure that you tell them that they can no longer stay for tutoring after school. If you have any questions, please donât hesitate to contact the school. Thanks Brenda Lavergne Principal
