This year the St. Landry Parish School Board will host a summer learning program for children in grades K through 8, providing not only Language Arts and Math tutoring in a small group setting but also enrichment experiences that will enable students to excel in the 2021- 2022 school year. We will offer enrichment opportunities that enable students to take virtual field trips, learn about science and technology, engage in social living projects, play sports, and develop an appreciation for art, theater, music, and more. The 4-week program will be offered June 7th through July 1st. Students will be offered transportation to and from the program, and meals will be provided. Parents please be informed that students should not be checked out after 2:30PM in the afternoon. Students will have to wait until dismissal at 3:05PM beyond this time to be picked up. Also, parents wishing to change their child's mode of transportation, must make contact by 12NOON on the day of the desired change.

(6th and 7th grade students) will return for Face to Face instruction beginning Wednesday, March 3rd. Students will report to school 5 days a week thereafter.

All SLPSB schools and administrative offices will re-open tomorrow, Monday, February 22, 2021.

Additionally, administrative offices will be closed to the public. We will continue to consult with school administrators, the National Weather Service, and the Office of Emergency Preparedness in the decision-making progress regarding the re-opening of schools. Stay informed of future decisions regarding school reopenings via our SLP app, our district website and our social media pages.

LANDRY PARISH PUBLIC SCHOOLS WILL BE CLOSED WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2021 FEBRUARY 16, 2021 OPELOUSAS, LA -- St. Landry Parish Public schools and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, February 17, 2021. Hazardous road conditions and power outages have resulted in the district’s decision to close facilities for our students, bus drivers, and employees’ safety. We will continue to monitor road conditions and consult with the NWS and the Office of Emergency Preparedness (OEM) in order to ensure the safety of our students and employees.
