Leadership that lasts a lifetime: Be the change that you want to see in your community.
BCHS's Student Council exists to promote the welfare of the school through the development of citizenship, leadership, and cooperation between student body, faculty, and community.
Our Mission:
Beau Chene's Student Council is committed to the cultivation of student leadership through effective communication, local, state, and national networking, professional media engagement, and community service.
About Us:
We are a non-discriminatory club that prides itself on its openness and inclusivity.
Who are we?
Beau Chene's Student Council functions as a student-run government. We are a non-profit club that prioritizes the cultivation of student leadership skills and working with BCHS Administration to improve the climate and culture of the school.
What do we do?
Student Council oversees a variety of school activities, including:
Student Orientations
Freshman Day
Homecoming Dance
Spirit Week
Organization of school events and student committees
Feeder School Incentives and Outreach
LASC District/State Activities
Organization of school and community outreach events that promote networking, positivity, and student growth
Offers students the opportunity to volunteer in their community with required community service through a variety of individual and collaborative service projects
Why join Student Council?
Student Council offers students the opportunity to grow socially, academically, and it instills important leadership skills in its students.
Students will learn how to:
delegate tasks
work as a team
create and organize committees
develop and hone communication skills
make decisions on behalf of, and serve as an ambassador for, the entire student body
At Beau Chene, we believe that lasting results begin with our teachers, but they are achieved by the influence of our students. Student Council teaches students that great leaders serve and uplift their community to establish standards of education, school, spirit, and honor based on school pride.
