For the 2nd year in a row, basic school supplies will be provided for our students in grades K-12 by St. Landry Parish School Board. Please note: Any additional supplies needed can be found on school websites and/or will be communicated by your child's school.

Effective for the 2022-2023 school year, all schools are required to collect a $20 technology fee from each enrolled student in addition to the $20 school fee. This fee will afford the student use of district issued technology (chromebooks/laptops). This fee will need to be paid during meet the teacher or it can be paid online at https://osp.osmsinc.com/SLPSB/

GPE faculty and staff are well on their way to becoming a Leader in Me School. They are learning all about the 7 Habits. Special thanks to District Coaches Chamir Murphy, Tiffany Perry, Brandon Singleton, GPE Principal Renee Suire, and Becky Kreamer, United Way of Acadiana.  

PBES: Parents and guardians, school will begin on an A cohort B cohort staggered schedule. Students (Cohort A) who have even number physical addresses (addresses that end in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8) will attend school Thursday, August 11, 2022. Students (Cohort B) who have odd number physical addresses (addresses that end in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9) will attend school Friday, August 12, 2022. All students (both A and B) will return Monday, August 15, 2022.

PBES Faculty, Staff, and Parents/Guardians: As we look forward to a new school year, SLP School District, in conjunction with Orion Labs, will again be offering free weekly COVID testing to all students and school employees. If you would like your child to participate, please register utilizing the link below. Camp Accelerate Week 2: Ms. Dumes’ 1st graders conducted an experiment to demonstrate the evaporation rate of water in direct sunlight vs. in indirect sunlight. ☀️💦

Mrs. N. Richard’s 2nd & 3rd graders are rolling into the 3rd Lap of Camp Accelerate with Math dice games to create single digit multiplication problems and Math multiplication bingo. ✖️🎲

Camp Accelerate Week 3: Snow ball fight in June Mrs. N. Richard’s 4th graders had "snowballs" with equations on them to solve with their group. Then, they threw the “snowballs” to get new equations.
