As noted in previous message, school will dismiss early tomorrow with car riders @ 10:45 and bus riders @ 11:00.
There will be no Beyond the Bell tomorrow.
This afternoon, Ms. Kasey Kennedy's riders will ride home on Ms. Thierry's bus. Ms. Kasey will not be running tomorrow morning, however her bus riders will ride home on Ms. Thierry's bus tomorrow afternoon.

We're excited to announce that our 1st Annual St. Landry Parish Schools Student Arts and STEAM Festival will happen this Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 10 AM to 3 PM on the Opelousas Courthouse Square. We're thankful to the Acadiana Center for the Arts for making this happen. There will be school bands, student artists, our robotics teams, and so much more. This event is free and open to everyone! Please come out and support our students and bring friends!

The Mobile Market is having technical difficulties and is running behind. They will be on campus around 10:00 am. this morning.

- Mobile Market will be on campus today, February 27, 2023, from 9:30 - 11:30 am.
- Kona Ice will be at PES on Friday, March 3, 2023. Prices range from $3 to $6.
- The office is a busy place in the afternoon. When possible, please refrain from checking your child(ren) out after 2:30 pm.
Mobile Market will be on campus on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 9:30 - 11:30 am.
Pre-K applications are now being accepted for the 2023-2024 school year. Students must turn 4 years old by September 30, 2023. If you have previously applied online, please pick up a paper application in the office to be completed. Intake appointments will be held on March 24, 2023 to review application packet with parents. Scheduling of intake appointments will take place when the packet is picked up in the office. Remember that spots are limited! Sign up early!
As a last farewell to the Valentineâs Day month, students are allowed to wear Crocs tomorrow (Friday) with regular school uniforms for $1! ïżŒ

Palmetto Elementary will be having a Raising Cane's Night on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 3 pm to 8 pm. Go enjoy some Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers and help support our school. Just mention Palmetto Elementary at the register with your takeout order and 15% of the sales will be donated to our school. Make sure to get your receipt and bring it to school. The class that brings in the most Raising Cane's receipts will get a Raising Cane's class party.
Important information is going home with 3rd and 4th graders this week in regards to Louisiana Department of Education: Bulletin 1566 Section 705. Please read over this policy carefully and do not hesitate to call the office for further information. A parent meeting will be scheduled at a later date should the need arise.
