Mr. Frye took a group of Dual Enrollment students to tour the University of Louisiana at Lafayette this morning. It’s only fitting that our gators stopped for a group picture in the swamp!
Of course, stopping for ice cream at Borden’s was a must after taking on the heat.

Physics students testing Newton’s Law with dynamics carts.
The Beau Chene Cross Country team competed in the regional meet on Nov. 3 at Acadiana Park in Lafayette. The girls team finished 5th and qualified for state. Saige Chautin finished 10th and Ava Courvelle finished 22nd. The boys team finished 10th overall.

Environmental science students testing pH of common items to understand what is a base or an acid. They are relating this to ocean acidification and acid rain.
Lastly, they performed a neutralization reaction between lemon juice and a an antacid tablet.
Physics students using Atwood Machines by manipulating the mass to confirm Newton’s 2nd law by using experimental and theoretical calculations of acceleration to get the percent difference between the two accelerations.
Engineering students building their winches that they will use to measure mechanical efficiency.
Today we had ASVAB Manager, Mr. Collin Henry, interpret our students ASVAB scores. These are some of the students that may have a bright future in one of the Americas services.
