A Message from SLPSB: Due to the anticipated severe weather conditions, St. Landry Parish schools, head starts, and administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, March 30, 2022. This closure will include any after school activities. Regular school hours are expected to resume on Thursday, March 31st. The decision to have a total system closure was based on advice from the Office of Emergency Preparedness and for safety concerns expressed by the SLPSB Transportation Manager. The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority. Stay safe!

Marcelo Sanchez, a 9th grade student, is sharing his art work with the administrators. His assignment in Art I was value drawing using ebony pencils in Mrs. Jennifer Knott’s class.

Math couldn’t be taught in a more fun manner than in Mrs. Cori Hebert’s class. The current concept of adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing polynomials was presented by first discussing perimeter vs area. Then she introduced long division of polynomials with a quick trip on the "Magic School Bus" back to 5th grade. They completed a long division problem in "5th grade" and then flew back to BC to see how they could relate that to long division of polynomials. What a fun way to engage our students!
